It is a delight for Laura to return to History At Play's Pay-Per-HAP series of livestream living history presentations to share her one-woman performance, "Jane Austen: Who Dares to Be an Authoress?" Laura is thrilled to have been invited to perform her one-woman play, "Charlotte Brontë: To Do More and Better Things," as a part of The North American Friends of Chawton House Speaker Subscription Series. Laura has combined her love of theatre with her love of history and literature to create historic character portrayals that are sure to entertain and inform! For each of the fascinating women she impersonates, Laura has researched and written a one-woman show that can be tailored to fit the needs of your group or class.

Entities for whom Laura has performed in the past include The Daughters of the American Revolution, The Swan’s Island Educational Society, and The Jane Austen Society of North America.

The women whose stories Laura has chosen to tell range from very well known figures such as Charlotte Brontë to figures like First Lady Louisa Catherine Adams, whose extraordinary adventures are often overlooked by the history books!
