Laura is delighted to join the cast of Sarah Rose Kearns' acclaimed new adaptation of Jane Austen's Persuasion. Laura will perform the role of Mary Musgrave in a staged reading of the play at The New York Society Library on December 1st. Historic Teel House in Norwich, CT, is hosting a Regency Winter Weekend from February 1st, to February 3rd, during which time Laura will once again portray Jane Austen in a special performance of Manydown, a new play about Jane and Cassandra Austen by Sarah Rose Kearns. Laura has combined her love of theatre with her love of history and literature to create historic character portrayals that are sure to entertain and inform! For each of the fascinating women she impersonates, Laura has researched and written a one-woman show that can be tailored to fit the needs of your group or class.

Entities for whom Laura has performed in the past include The Daughters of the American Revolution, The Swan’s Island Educational Society, and The Jane Austen Society of North America.

The women whose stories Laura has chosen to tell range from very well known figures such as Charlotte Brontë to figures like First Lady Louisa Catherine Adams, whose extraordinary adventures are often overlooked by the history books!
